Feb 2021 conditions: Smoky Mountain Rd starts with a couple of miles of rapidly deteriorating pavement, followed by maybe 4 miles of loose pea gravel before becoming more hardpacked and easier riding. Park Rd 231 to Lake Powell follows a dry creek bottom and becomes increasingly sandy and bifurcated as it flattens off toward the lake.
